Doula Services

At Seven Point Wellness, Cristina R. de La Mar, M.S., L.Ac., Doula offers a unique pairing of Doula Services, complimented by her skills as an Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner.

Those who work with her have the option of integrating the two - or simply working with her as a Doula for their labor and birth. She takes on only a modest number of women, to ensure her availability, and give those she works with the upmost care and attention.

She is passionate about supporting women and their partners/families to have the birth experience they choose - and committed to creating better access to healthy birth options through education, advocacy and public policy changes.

What is a Labor Support Doula?

A Doula is specially trained to accompany a birthing mother and/or couple during labor to provide educational, emotional and physical support. The continuous, knowledgeable, and reassuring presence of a Doula can make a dramatic difference in promoting the confidence and comfort of the new Mother and her family.

How Will a Labor Doula Benefit Me & My Family?

Details & Fees

DOULA SERVICES - FEES

Base Fee - $1,200**

Our base fee for Doula Services includes:

A comprehensive Birth Planning session with Mother/Partner

A Follow-up (prenatal) session as needed

Two prenatal acupuncture / bodywork sessions in our clinic. (optional - no additional charges) NOTE: These sessions are also a time for us to check in, review the birth plan, answer questions and to receive a relaxing, supportive acupuncture / bodywork treatment. Your partners are welcome too!

Phone and/or email support (24/7) starting at 38 weeks (earlier for twins/multiples or compounding medical conditions).

Continuous, attentive Labor Support to Mother (and Partner as needed) throughout the birth process and immediately post-partum (i.e. up until the family is settled and ready to rest post-partum).
A Post-partum Follow-up Home/Hospital visit - to answer questions, provide support, and reflect on the birth experience.

** Depending on the Combination of Service(s), Special Requests, Location and Type of Birth the base fee may vary (more or less). Rest assured, there will never be any hidden fees - we will discuss your needs together to determine this and work to accomodate special requests within our means.
